Responsibilities

Ready-Mix Truck Driver – CDL Class B

The Ready-Mix Truck Driver – CDL Class B will be responsible for operating a front discharge commercial truck on construction sites around DFW and the surrounding area. Our trucks are brand new 2023.

Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Plant Operator or Supervisor, the Mixer Operator will operate ready mix trucks between job site locations
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance, record, and inspection on vehicles to include fueling, cleaning, tire/light inspection, checking and adding fluids as needed
  • Clean mixer between loads
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Monitor consistency of concrete in mixer
  • Communicate and direct coworkers verbally either directly, through two-way radio or hand signals
  • Exercise good judgment regarding work site access, unloading and operation to and from work site
  • Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional, courteous manner
  • Assist in training of co-workers as needed

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Class B CDL license or better
  • Must have clean driving history and focus on safety
  • Possess a safe driving record
  • Maintain an active DOT qualification
  • Ability to perform well in a “TEAM” environment
  • Self-motivator
  • Ability to perform sustained overhead reaching
  • Ability to work in areas with the potential for high noise levels
  • Ability to tolerate working at heights up to 12 feet
  • Able to work up to 12-hour maximum driving time per day/AR DOT

  • Supervise on-site teams in accordance with defined schedules and procedures.
  • Set and delegate daily work objectives.
  • Determine and recommend improvements in methods, schedules, and procedures, as needed.
  • Hiring and training of laborers and equipment operators.
  • Confer with supervisory personnel to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, schedules, and complaints.

  • Ensure personnel follow all regulatory requirements and maintenance items are addressed by shop and field maintenance.
  • Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites.
  • Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with safety codes, DOT, OSHA, and MSHA, and other regulations.
  • Drive and operate heavy construction equipment, as needed.
  • Daily reporting of time, equipment, and material usage.

  • Maintains files and records as requested. Recordkeeping responsibilities may include overseeing and maintaining files of applications, interviews, offer letters and rejections, employee files, and evaluation dates.
  • Arranges travel and accommodation for the executive.
  • Creates and manages the annual calendar of activities such as special events, initiatives, and similar projects.
  • Organizes committee meetings including determining the time and place and drafting and delivering correspondence such as agendas, minutes, and transcripts.
  • Schedules and attends meetings on behalf of executive, taking notes.
  • Receives incoming communication, reviews contents, determines importance, and summarizes and/or distributes contents to appropriate staff.

CAD Technician

The CAD Technician will perform a variety of duties related to the review and analysis of field and construction plan data, 3D surface modeling, plan quantity verifications as well as other survey functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside other CAD team members, or independently, to generate accurate survey data for field crews and machine control systems.
  • Tracking project RFI’s, Change Orders, and Addendums while maintaining up to date field files.
  • Documenting all CAD and plan errors for RFI’s.
  • Utilizing current CAD platforms, plans, and common sense to create 3D surface models, calculate bridge structures, drainage runs, utilities etc.
  • Creating cut/fill reports and plotting exhibits for survey managers.
  • Tracking time spent on projects for budgeting purposes.
  • Creating roadway corridors.
  • Preparing drawing with high precisions and as per scale.
  • Creating and maintain project alignments, profiles, tie-ins etc.
  • Utilizing COGO and other survey methodology (bearings – distances) to generate usable survey points, maps, 3D surface models and 3D line work.

Qualifications:

  • Associates or technical school degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a survey technician role with the ability to create and maintain 3D roadway models and calculate all aspects of a civil construction site including bridges, walls, drainage etc. required.
  • Survey experience in a crew chief type role is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans for generating field layout data.
  • Working knowledge of 3D surfaces, the ability run quantity reports and surface grade checks.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and requirements of a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision is mandatory.
  • Accurately preform survey computations and mapping for roadway, drainage, utilities, bridges, walls and more.
  • Candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills, be a problem solver, methodical, consistent, detail oriented, and precise.
  • Ability to fully understand and follow highly complex oral and written instructions.
  • Familiar with files such as LandXML, .csv, .dwg, .dgn, .ttm, .dtm, .tin, .vce, .vcl, etc.
  • Knowledge of Bentley Microstation Inroads/Geopak Software.
  • Knowledge of Trimble Business Center software and Site Positioning equipment both GPS and robotic total stations.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • Heavy Civil experience, required.
  • 3+ years’ experience required in one or more of the following:
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Carlson Civil – Survey

The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Management Team with administrative duties associated with construction projects.  Assists with project scheduling, purchasing, placing material orders, receiving shipments, and creating change orders, submittals and labor and delivery schedules.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geological data in order to plan projects.
  • Follow the Project Design Process as outlined. Utilize tools provided to maintain / update processes, planning boards, and other related documents for all assigned work activities.
  • Support schedule development with Estimator, Scheduler, and Field Supervision. Assist with critical milestones / delivery dates, logic ties, and working calendars.  Review critical path activities.
  • Interface with customer on project deliverables and provide feedback to planning/estimating, Project Manager, and Construction Superintendents.
  • Review safety, quality, and construction execution plans and logistics as needed with Field Superintendents.
  • Assist with execution strategies consistent with management and customer expectations.
  • Review monthly estimate and validate prior to customer distribution.
  • Review and issue RFI’s to the client for clarifications.
  • Audit weekly payroll recaps for accuracy and ensure they are corrected as required.  Ensures all cost coding is correct/consistent.
  • Provide oversight and direction for internal and external subcontracts.
  • Participate in review sessions with related Field Supervision concerning labor, materials, equipment, subcontracts, cost, productivity, schedules, and tracking.
  • Facilitate project completion through coordinating efforts between appropriate Project Superintendents, Subcontractors, and the Client.

  Education and Experience:

  • BS degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
  • 5 + years as a Project Engineer or equivalent civil construction experience is required.
  • Related experience should be in the public roadway and private development sectors.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, cost control schedules and safety required.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Thorough understanding of industry practices, processes, and standards, and their impact on project activities
  • Ability to perform in a team environment with excellent communication and organizational skills.

    Shop Mechanic (Off-Road)

     The Shop Mechanic will primarily perform repairs and preventive maintenance on light and medium duty trucks. This position will be based out of our Company’s main shop facility in Frisco, TX.

    Responsibilities:

    • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.
    • Check batteries, examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices.
    • Attach test instruments to diagnose malfunctions.
    • Report and correct vehicle defects, or damage to vehicles/equipment.
    • Conduct preventative maintenance, as needed.

    Education and Experience:

    • 2+ years’ experience as a mechanic, or equivalent, required.
    • Includes experience diagnosing and repairing AC systems, breaks, performing tune-ups and troubleshooting engine/trans fault codes.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Technical Degree, preferred.
    • Valid driver’s license, required. 
    • Must be able to provide tools.

    Preferred experience:

    • Welding and fabrication.
    • Heavy duty truck trouble shooting fault codes and repair.
    • Off road equipment trouble shooting fault codes and repair.
