Education, Qualifications, and Skills:

Reads survey stakes along highway right‐of‐way to determine grade specification for embankment. Job Summary: The Estimator will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for commercial, residential, municipal and highway construction underground utility projects and services to aid management in bidding on or determining price of service, take-offs, evaluate vendor quotes, change orders, and contract updates.

Solicit quotations from material vendors and subcontractors.
Attend pre-bid meetings and project meetings as required.
Calculate labor, equipment and materials costs required for detailed cost estimate.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in civil construction and underground utility (water, sewer, storm) estimating.
Familiarity with geotechnical investigations and reports.
Ability to multi-task and manage estimates for more than one project at any given time.
Basic heavy equipment knowledge (what equipment can be used for completing projects).
Experience in HCSS-Heavy Bid, AG-tek, preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheet development.

Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement, or glue.
Cut pipes to required lengths.
Install or repair sanitary or storm water sewer structures or pipe systems.
Install or use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levels.
Grade or level trench bases, using tamping machines or hand tools.
Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints and coordinating layouts with supervisors.
Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing.
Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools. Locate existing pipes needing repair or replacement, using magnetic or radio indicators.

Qualifications and Skills:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
2 plus years of experience in pipe laying & utilities roles required.

Job Title: Wet Utilities Foreman

Job Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise and direct on-site crews, ensuring adherence to schedules and procedures.
Assign daily tasks and monitor progress for efficiency and quality.
Identify and implement improvements in work methods and scheduling.
Hire, train, and mentor laborers and equipment operators.
Collaborate with supervisory staff to resolve operational challenges.
Oversee the operation and maintenance of construction equipment.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including DOT, OSHA, and MSHA standards.
Address delays, weather-related issues, and emergencies as they arise.
Operate heavy equipment when necessary.
Maintain daily logs of labor, equipment, and materials.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a foreman or supervisory role.
