The Haul Truck Drivers will drive a tractor‐trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). May be required to unload truck. Requires commercial drivers’ license.

Responsibilities: 

  • Secure Heavy Construction Equipment for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers.
  • Transport Heavy Construction Equipment to/from work and job sites.
  • Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
  • Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.
  • Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
  • Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers.
  • Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes to document weights and to comply with state regulations.
  • Drive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons, including tractor‐trailer combinations, to transport and deliver products, livestock, or other materials.
  • Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
  • Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions.

 Responsibilities:

Wet Batch – CDL Class B Truck Driver

The Wet Batch Driver – CDL Class B will be responsible for operating a commercial truck on construction sites around DFW and the surrounding area. Our trucks are brand new 2023.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Plant Operator or Supervisor, the Truck Operator will operate ready mix trucks between job site locations
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance, record, and inspection on vehicles to include fueling, cleaning, tire/light inspection, checking and adding fluids as needed
  • Clean Truck between loads
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Monitor consistency of concrete in mixer
  • Communicate and direct coworkers verbally either directly, through two-way radio or hand signals
  • Exercise good judgment regarding work site access, unloading and operation to and from work site
  • Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional, courteous manner
  • Assist in training of co-workers as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Class B CDL license or better
  • Must have clean driving history and focus on safety

Position Duties:

Analyze project requirements, specifications, and other documentation to prepare cost estimates post bid award. Prepare and update cost estimate as the design develops from concept to construction level drawing & specification. Work with project manager and stakeholders to develop budgets for project commencement. Responsible for responding to RFP and RFI and assess project cost impacts to prepare change order proposals. Analyze and evaluate actual and forecasted costs against budget and develop cost reports. Identify budget variances, recommend corrective actions, and identify cost saving opportunities. Evaluate price and material increases during project lifecycle and prepare cost increase proposal for owner. Evaluate bid proposals and quotes from subcontractors and vendors. Monitor vendor and subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to cost agreements. Responsible for vendor and subcontractor invoice review and approval. Identify and assess potential risks that could impact project costs. Prepare and present cost and budget reports to management and stakeholders. Conduct cost-benefit analysis for various project options or decisions. Work with Engineers, Architects, Owners, Contractors and Subcontractors on estimate changes and adjustments. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Maintain detailed records of cost estimates, budgets, and actual expenditures. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures. Attend pre-bid and pre-construction meetings.

Position Requirements:

Five (5) years of experience or demonstrated knowledge in the following:

  • Estimating projects more than $25M.

  • Develop and maintain the project schedule and direct its long-term planning and execution.

This position is primarily a field-based position, servicing equipment throughout the DFW Metroplex and North Texas. On occasion, this position may also work at the Company’s main shop in Frisco, TX.

Responsibilities:

  • Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
  • Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
  • Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
  • Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.

Certification at an equivalent level, by state or nationally recognized organization will be acceptable in lieu of NICET certification.

  • Thorough understanding of the product and/or process being inspected.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports.

  • Provide oversight and direction for internal and external subcontracts.
  • Participate in review sessions with related Field Supervision concerning labor, materials, equipment, subcontracts, cost, productivity, schedules, and tracking.
  • Facilitate project completion through coordinating efforts between appropriate Project Superintendents, Subcontractors, and the Client.

  Education and Experience:

  • BS degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
  • 5 + years as a Project Engineer or equivalent civil construction experience is required.
  • Related experience should be in the public roadway and private development sectors.
